I better catch up with the Blog here. Last Saturday went to watch a mite team from Tri-Town play down at Lysander. It was a good game and a impressive team that hit the ice ready to play some hockey. The boys from up north skated fast and moved the puck around well. This was defiantly a well coached team. Keep an eye on Will Arquiett – looks like a future hockey star in the making. I then drove down to Binghamton to watch JCC defeat the BCC team in an exciting fourth quarter with the final 11 to 10 finish. Devin played well in the goal as did his teammates in front of him. This was their fourth win and last game on their east coast tour. We took Dev home with us for a night before taking him the rest of the way back up north. I like the intensity JCC is playing with this year. That's another well coached team and fine college lacrosse program right in our own home town. If your from the north country you don't have to go too far to get a good college education and play some great lacrosse. Last Wednesday Tyler started Freshmen Lacrosse for CNS and we got to see Nick and the varsity lacrosse team pick up two wins at home between last Friday and this Monday. It's been cold up in the stands – especially the Monday night game against Fulton with the wind picking up after a day of cold rain and some snow. Hockey games can be quite cold, but there's no rain, snow, or wind to deal with. Nick's starting this year and we're all enjoying watching the team even in the cold. That's the fun aye? I've been able to catch a couple of Tyler's practices and look forward to seeing that team play their first game. Yesterday “Newzjunky” had an article posted on Devin being named JCC athlete of the week It has his picture. I must admit I'm very proud of what he's done up at JCC. I like the college, and I like the coach. The team is good and made up of some very talented players. They have Jake Lafex on defense – a very sharp defenseman all through high school for WHS. You look at the roster and you'll see all these great players from around the north country. Hockey and Lacrosse are alive and well in New York State.
