Heldt and Burgess Named JCC Co Athletes of the Week

"Heldt & Burgess Named JCC Co-Athletes of the Week
Watertown, NY – Freshman goalie, Devin P. Heldt, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) men’s lacrosse team and freshman goalie, Catherine E. Burgess, of the JCC women's lacross team were named JCC co-athletes of the week for the week ending April 7, 2008. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions. Heldt is a 2007 graduate of Cicero-North Syracuse who is majoring in liberal arts at Jefferson. Devin’s accomplishments on the field during the past week include 24 saves vs Onondaga Community College, 23 saves vs Finger Lakes Community College, and 24 saves against Broome Community College. Devin also tied for second place for goal keeping leaders for the NJCAA Division III Region. He has played 300 minutes at goal with a .677 save percentage. Burgess is a 2007 graduate of South Jefferson Central School who is majoring in engineering science at Jefferson. Catherine’s accomplishments on the field during the past week include a total of 23 saves in 80 minutes played. She is a very dedicated and hardworking team player."
