You want to play video games? Ok, but first you need to play some wall ball, then a little running for endurance. Make sure your chores are done, a little reading – then you can play your video game……..for awhile. Fair enough? Don’t get me wrong, I used to love Pole Position, but I wouldn’t play it around the clock. I know, I’m out of touch with the X Box generation, but I don’t care. Get up, get out and get some fresh air. Read a book and use your own mind to paint a picture. Thinking is a big part of sports, and life in general. There are not a lot of electronic devices on the ice, maybe around it for the media, but the pucks are very rough on electronic parts. Sitting on the coach is ok now and then, but if you can get outside – do it. I find myself in negotiations with my boys. I thought I was in charge. What’s happening?
What is so hard about finding something to do? Well, I guess it’s time to sit in my fold-up chair at the side of the road; coffee in one hand whistle in the other. On your mark, set, go! I can do this all day.
