There’s always something

There’s always something. The world is full of interesting possibilities. The world of sports is pretty big too. If that’s what you’re interested in, then start checking it out. When you’re at a game look around to see how many people it takes to run the event. You’re not going to even see all of the people behind the scenes that make all of this happen. This isn’t really the point, but it brings me to the idea that there are always possibilities. You have to look for some of them, and sometimes you need to recognize those that may present themselves to you. I always say you need to be prepared, however there are curve balls that come along now and then that you never expect. Some you can navigate around and some you just can’t. Always keep in mind that you have the potential, and possibly the ability to choose more than one path. This could be in sports, your job, and life. My wife was looking at some old school pictures remembering some of her classmates, some she knew what they were doing now, and some she did not. I looked at all the old pictures of her and her classmates and wondered if any of them were now doing what they had hoped for, expected, or even imagined where their lives were going. There is so much potential when you are young and growing up. Unfortunately sometimes you don’t realize these things when you’re young. The thing is, there’s always something new to discover in life, and there is a world of possibilities out there. It doesn’t matter how old you are, or how long you’ve done the same old things. You never know what you can do, or where you’ll go until you set out one step at a time. It takes courage and confidence. Hopefully these are lessens you learn on the ice, the lacrosse field, school, and at home. Look around, keep your head up and go. I’ll be rooting for ya!
