St Patricks Day left-overs

St Patrick’s Day was great. I had corned beef and cabbage – which has become a tradition over the years. I wanted to watch The Quiet Man, but I think I missed it. Oh well there’s always next year. The weather was wonderful, sunny and almost “spring” like. Yes I already miss hockey – that didn’t take long, but it is lacrosse season and I should relax and be thankful for the great hockey season we had. Now we await some warm weather – The Mets winning the World Series – could be a longer wait then I’d like of course, but worth it. Today – the day after St Patrick’s Day was very nice too. Yesterday I wore as much green as I could possibly stand, but today – back to Orange – and left over corned beef for sandwiches. The Stanley Cup will get rolling here quickly, and March Madness has started. There’s a lot to keep me focused on now that we shall be approaching the rainy season. I know it’s not raining now – but it will be, and I bet we see a few good storms roll in across the lake. Yes I keep much dryer during hockey season than during lacrosse season. I’m actually much warmer too in a rink than outdoors in a windy downpour. Ah ya gotta love it. That’s what they make umbrellas for. Of course I don’t use one. I’m way too cool. I have a lot of hats and a strong constitution. Of course you could take it that I’m not smart enough to get out of the rain, but I haven’t melted yet. Well, maybe I’ll just use a small umbrella for the real bad storms, you know like gale force winds and the like – but defiantly not sprinkles – no way! What would the quiet man do?
