Well I got my flu shot. I walked into the drugstore and was greeted by a young lady who gave me a piece of paper with a number on it. This was so that people didn’t have to stand in line – they could hang around and do a little shopping until their number was called. I thought I was being smart by taking the day off from work to get to the clinic early before the actual start time. Everyone else seemed to have the same idea. This was only the regular seasonal flu shot – not the much talked about H1N1 vaccine. “Officially” it’s so that I don’t miss any work, but “unofficially” it’s so I don’t miss any hockey practices or games. That’s my take on it at least. I still have some Orange flavored Alka Seltzer on hand just in case the shot doesn’t work. Today I mowed the lawn – hopefully that should do it for a while. I fully expect snow soon. No one else does, but I do. At least a good frost would work for now. We watched some football and had a nice spaghetti dinner. It has been a very laid back and quiet weekend
