Quiet Week

This was a very nice week. St. Patrick’s Day I had a very fine boiled dinner followed by“The Quiet Man” film on cable. The weather was warm and sunny most of the week and today I watched Nick’s Varsity Lax team scrimmage. It was quiet. Yesterday I watched the Bay’s midget team play in a tournament and got to see a few players I had coached in the past play a little hockey while I watched the game with coach Calhoun and caught up on a few things. It has been a very low key week. Sometimes they are quite enjoyable. I got to watch a little basketball on TV and will probably catch up on my reading. The ice is slowly retreating off the lake and spring is trying to make an appearance - although we may see a little snow later tonight. My knee is still a little soar, but I’m off the ice now and will give it a little time to heal up. Tonight we had an orange frosted cake. Yes it has been a wonderfully quiet week - and that’s not a bad thing sometimes.
