Goal for this season 2008 - 2009

My goal for this season is simple; Play great hockey! That’s it, that’s what we aim for every practice and every game. If you want to play great hockey you need to enjoy playing the game. Every minute you are on the ice you have to want to be there and be willing to try. Try to skate faster, play smarter, make good passes, take quicker shots, and be respectful of your team mates, officials, parents, opponents, - and most of all yourselves. I didn’t add coaches to this list because I am sure I don’t have to. You cannot be afraid to make mistakes at practice or during games, but you also must learn from any you make. School comes before hockey. Let me repeat that one – School comes before hockey. We want to play smart hockey, therefore we need smart players. I want to see each player drinking water during practice and games. Sleep is very important. Every player on this team needs to get enough sleep every night – not just the night before a game. We have only had a few practices, but so far I like what I am seeing. There is a lot of talent on this team, and tons of potential. I don’t think I could have picked a better team.
