We headed down to the end of the lake for dinner Last night. I've driven through the area, but had never stopped before, so we thought we'd give it a try. Up north Kingston was the place we'd go to before the boys were born just to walk around and maybe grab a bite to eat and see a band in the summer. We'd take the small ferry across from Cape Vincent over to Wolf Island then the big ferry over to Kingston. There really isn't any place I've been to quite like that, but it's a bit of a hike now. It used to be a nice way to take a break. We're still learning a lot about central New York, and every once in a while we find a place that looks interesting. Sometimes it's a good idea, sometimes it's not such a good idea. Usually my ideas only work out if it's in reference to ordering a cup of coffee at a concession stand in an ice arena. Picking a restaurant is not my strong point. We also got a little skating in earlier in the day. That did go well, but that's because it involves ice. This morning we took Dev home in time for his Sunday game at the college then headed back home. Nick was supposed to go up and play, but Tyler and him didn't feel too good after their dinner last night. They both had the same thing for dinner, and neither one of them were in any condition to play. I guess that was our vacation. Oh ya I forgot, I broke the lawnmower. That was an accident. I wanted to clip the grass real low, but I think I went just a little bit too low and caught the blade in the damp earth. You see it's been raining every day on our mini vacation and the lawn is a little bit soggy, but the grass is still growing. I guess I'll be stopping by the hardware store after work. Since I'll be there anyways I think I'll pick up a small sheet of linoleum – It's great for practicing stick handling and shooting. Everything works out one way or another for a reason. That's why I broke the lawnmower – to work on stick handling....see. There is a nice little restaurant too that I pass sometimes on the way home.......Nah.
