Summer Time Break

Today was the last practice before the summer break. We went over a few things one at a time with the players for them to continue working on, and let them know where we had seen improvement in their skills. I'll still find my way down to open skate, and hope to see some of them there working on and maintaining their skating. I also expect that there will be a lot of tennis ball work with the stick in the driveway, but it is also a good chance to take a break and enjoy the summer. Summer lacrosse will wind down in August just in time to get an early start on next year's winter season. It's time to get the fishing poles out and work on your casting. There's quite an art to fishing. I of course prefer to go old school and just use a hook and worm. It's pretty cool having a rink you can fish in, or maybe it's the other way around - a lake you can skate on. Yeah that's probably how it should go.
