Coach Heldt's Notes

It's 2012!

A new year, new goals, new challenges, await on the field/ice, and off. For some players, this may be a final season, for others a first. For some it is neither. We all hope that the new year will be a good year. For what we can control we work to improve and refine. For what we can't control we probably shouldn't stress about, but most do. The future isn't written in stone. Sometimes we benefit from a little luck. Luck usually comes in two variations; good and bad. Hopefully the puck bounces good for you. Work hard, but don't forget to appreciate every game, practice, and days off. Get your rest, try to stay healthy, play your game because that's what you want to do, not what you have to do. Every year is an adventure, and every day a lesson. Make this year a great year. Good luck, and Happy New Year! Now I have to get back to watching the Rose Bowl. It's half time and the Oregon marching band is playing VanHalen's Panama. Pretty cool!
