Social studies, math, science, and English for hockey players? “You betcha!” Does school really give you the tools to play better hockey? Yes it does. The smarter the player, the smarter the play. School teaches you a lot of important stuff, but most of all it presents challenges to make you think. You need to think out on the ice. Hockey players don't back down from challenges on the ice, so why back down from challenges in the classroom? To play better hockey you practice and play challenging games. To do better in school you study and do your homework. If you want to be a good skater you get on the ice and skate, skate, skate. If you want to do well in school you open the book and study, study, study. Skates need to be sharpened, ..........books can sharpen your mind.
